Chai Wala & Prophet Yousuf AS

It’s an encouraging uphill stride and a disgusting downward slide for the Pakistani society as it tilts it morality profile this way and that way, sixty-nine years down the line of independence. It was an independence struggle that saw the bravery of Muslim families walking barefoot with meagre belongings in the face of danger, parents being butchered before the children and girls being raped and paraded naked in public. But they did not give up and stood up for

لا إله إلا الله محمد الرسول الله  !

Zooming back to the present, the dust of war flames across the border of Pakistan and India had yet not settled from just a few days ago, when suddenly who pops up on the screen of the Pakistani media, a Chai Wala.

And the media goes crazy! And the social media goes crazy! And the women go crazy! And the women across the border go crazy!

What for? What’s the hype? Never seen good looks before? Never seen blue eyes before? As an online Pathan commenter wrote, ‘Please take a trip to Pashtun tribal belt of Pakistan. You shall find all the blue-eyed beauty you want to see there…’

And this comment shamed me. It shamed me as a woman. I suddenly zoomed back again. But this time not just sixty-nine years ago but a few thousand years back to the time of Prophet Yousuf AS … when the wife of his master developed a crush on him and the matter became the talk of the town! The offended Zulaykha invited the women of the town to her place by way of a party and let them see Prophet Yousuf AS for themselves. They cut their hands with their knives as they got mesmerized by his beauty and said ‘No wonder she has fallen in love with him’. Zulaykha smirked, as she saw that the women were now in her court, understanding the reason of her lustful madness.

We are witnessing the same madness over the Chai Wala. We are seeing the same throngs of women ogling over him, ironically, from both sides of the border. As if from both sides of the kingly court walls. A female model coyly said about him, ‘He will have to change his attitude towards women if he has to move on in the Showbiz world’.

What is that supposed to mean? What is he supposed to do? Why can’t he carry his good looks with a reserved signboard?

What a sad story. A nice, neat guy earning halal earnings for his family is suddenly whisked away into the world of pomp and glamour and a lot of unethical stuff. Perhaps he had a cute little fiancée waiting to be married to him and now she will seeing him amidst girls and models and be seething.

Oh they ask him, ‘The Indian girls too are going flat over you. How do you feel about it?’

What reply do they expect?

I guess these are not the times when one would expect the reply that Prophet Yousuf had given,

My Lord! Prison is dearer to me than that to which these women call me!”

[The Holy Quran, Surah Al-Yousuf, Verse 33]

For we have leftover the cries of Allah’o Akbar for war times only. While in peace times, we stoop low. No wonder Allah Almighty brings us to the brink of war again and again and yet again. Only another cross border fire and the death of an innocent life will shake us out of the Chai Wala slur ...

Qandeel Baloch, Gone for Good

I stand strongly and absolutely and religiously against ‘honor’ killing. For in Pakistan and elsewhere, sisters and daughters are murdered for the basic human and religious right of marrying by choice. Marrying by choice has not just been recommended by Islam but Islam has taken action against marrying a girl by force, against her choice. Prophet Muhammed Pbuh himself nullified such a Nikah in his lifetime when a girl reached his office with the complaint of the stated crime against her.

Poof! Prophet Muhammed Pbuh cancelled the enforced Nikah.

In the culturally and religiously confused society of Pakistan, girls being subjected to enforced marriages sometimes have no choice but to leave home and do court marriage. It is neither vulgarity nor Zina but a strong statement coming from her about her choice of her life-partner. However, to the low-esteem men, this appears to be an assault on the honor of the family and specifically themselves.

Ah! The boys and men themselves can loafer the streets, ogle at other girls and whistle at them, hoot at them, pass leery comments at them. All this dishonorable behavior does not amount to any kind of honor violation either by themselves or on those objectified girls. But if a girl from their family seeks her human, religious, legal right of marrying by choice … it is a raid on ‘honor’!

Shame!

And shameful was also what Qandeel Baloch was doing.

Qandeel Baloch was not reaching out for any human, religious or legal right, but she was a … I do not even want to call her a human being. The first time I saw one of her videos, doing the solo sex act, I felt like puking. She seemed neither a woman to me nor a man, neither human but an animal. Yes, she appeared like an animal to me. Like those cats shrieking out in the street, in view of everybody, when the male cat is pursuing the female cat, pouncing upon her and then moaning loudly.

As somebody said on social media; when she was doing all that filthy and disgusting stuff, there used to be comments online … ‘Is there nobody who would kill her?’

Now, that somebody has killed her … and oh what a good riddance!

Now, the comments coming online are … ‘Oh why was she killed? After all, she was a human being …’

She appeared like a human being to you?

Is that the way humans behave?

Nah! She had been behaving like a cat in the skin of a woman. Rather worse!

Cats do not film themselves in their acts of sex, maintain a Facebook page and then post them online!

Cats do not invade the personal space of celebrities … Imran Khan, Shahid Afridi and Virat Kohli … and publically promise unwanted, uninvited sexual fantasies to them.

Ah! But the story of Mufti Abdul Qawi is another story. The idiot sat there like an idiot, feeling upbeat to be sitting with the hot Qandeel Baloch and allowed her to make selfies. And now he says it was all a setup … Ha! Was he dumb, that he could not say no? Was he handicapped that he could not stand up and walk out? Was he paralyzed that he could not move his head in refusal?

Mufti Abdul Qawi! Shame on you for carrying the religious title of ‘Mufti’ and maligning the religious profession by your loose character. The slandered Imran Khan is a million times better than you who instructed his administration not to let Qandeel Baloch enter the pavilion of his Jalsagah, let alone sit on the stage or come near him.

They say, whatever any human being does is his/her personal act and nobody has the right to object to him/her and nobody has the right to claim that they or their family are being affected or influenced by the act of another.

Really?

Why do we condemn trash heaps in residential areas?

Why do we have ‘No Smoking’ signboards in public locations?

Why do have silence zones in certain parts of buildings and cities?

To me, Qandeel Baloch was a mega heap of stinking trash that many of us were calling the city administration to clear out.

But no response.

For as a society, we have developed the attitude of being sitting duck on actions and quacking out on reactions.

I thank Waseem Baloch for bundling her up and throwing her out. Thud!

Not because there was an issue of ‘honor’ over here and not because brothers and fathers have the right to play the ‘Ghairat Brigade’, but …

Because the Government of Pakistan did not exercise its due authority over Qandeel Baloch when she wore the Pakistani flag as a bikini and danced around as trailer to a mind-blowing striptease dance if Pakistan won against India in a cricket match. Ugh!

Because the PEMRA did not play its due role against Qandeel Baloch and did not shut out her Facebook page as it has blocked so many other porn websites.

Because the media channels of Pakistan played a negative role by giving her undue attention and feeding her thirst for the spotlight, promoting her from a slut to Qandeel Baloch Sahiba.

As Newton says, ‘Every action has an equal and opposite reaction’.

Or we can also say, ‘Every inaction has an equal and opposite action’.

It is what happened in the case of Aunty Shameem & Lal Masjid, it is what happened in the case of Salman Taseer and Mumtaz Qadri and it is what has happened in the case of Qandeel Baloch.

“Those who love to spread vulgarity among the believers will have a painful punishment in this life and in the Hereafter. Allah knows and you do not know.” [The Holy Quran, Surah Al-Noor, Verse 19]

I know it is Islamic ethics not speak ill of the dead, but that is specifically for the personal negatives of the deceased. While public figures and their public actions are another story. I feel sorry for Qandeel Baloch and may Allah Almighty forgive her for whatever she had been doing. It may have been Allah’s Mercy that Allah decided to call her back to Himself, because it seemed that there was no stopping to her as she said in one of her posts,

I will fight for it. I will not give up. I will reach my goal & absolutely nothing will stop me.

So I am writing about her as a furious warning to future Qandeel Baloches!

No more Meeras and no more Qandeels.

The day she died, Qandeel Baloch had 758,081 likes on her official Facebook page.

Where were all these adorers on her Janazah ?

Imran Khan Kicks Out

I danced in joy.

Finally, we have a man in Pakistan who is man enough to say ‘No, thank you!’ to Qandeel Baloch out, loud and clear.

Qandeel Baloch … remember the cute little silly girl who threw a big tantrum when not selected at the live auditions of ‘Pakistan Idol’?

That cute little silly girl has now turned into a monstrous slut, hissing and slithering, almost nude on Facebook video posts, vying with Meera and Mathira in the race of obnoxiousness.

I generally do not condescend anyone for vulgar behavior, especially females, because the standards of decency and vulgarity have become so topsy-turvy in our times that I prefer to give the margin of ignorance to anyone displaying vulgar behavior. I tend to think … she does not know … she is confused … she is just trying to get popularity fast … she does not actually mean it …

But I has super disgusted when I heard about and saw the video in which Qandeel Baloch is addressing the Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi before one of the T20 series 2016 matches. Lying half-naked on a bed, she was promising Shahid Afridi an awesome strip-tease dance if he won the match for Pakistan. Shahid Afridi, a pathan, a married man with kids, whose wife observes the Muslim veil; Qandeel Baloch had the audacity to flirt with him online full public view. Had I been Shahid Afridi’s wife, I would have zoomed out my car to her place and slapped and boxed and smashed the turn-on off her face!

And now, she has turned to Imran Khan …

Afore the much awaited PTI May 1, 2016, jalsa at Mall Road, Lahore, Qandeel Baloch was on air … physically and theoretically. She was flying in, I guess from UAE, to attend the jalsa in Pakistan and declaring her ‘love’ for Imran Khan on TV channels by giving loud statements, singing songs and throwing about lustful looks.

Her one statement that always irritates the hell out of me is ‘Everyone is tharkee …’. Tharkee is Urdu for flirty.

So she was so sure that Imran Khan would be so excited, ogling at her as she would sashay up the jalsa aisle and await her at the stage with a beating heart to give her the honor of being the chief guest. HA!

She was halted at the jalsa entry gate and banned from going inside. She stood there crying crocodile tears.

Bravo Imran Khan ! Well done PTI !

I now await PM Nawaz Shareef, or President Mamnoon Husain, to wake up from their stupor of stupidity, who suddenly remembered the forgotten ‘sin’ of Mumtaz Qadri just a few weeks ago after five long years and hanged him, but have brothels and prostitutes and Qandeel Baloches dancing around naked with the Pakistani flag on as bikini and they are busy … doing what? Watching them? Enjoying them?

Where is the Republic of Muhammadi Constitution that the Shareefs boast about in their jalsas ?

Shareefs, will you please kick out Qandeel Baloch from Pakistan and cancel her Pakistani citizenship ?

Pakistan Hangs Mumtaz

Monday, February 29th, 2016 : What a day for the seculars! Mumtaz Qadri has been hanged and Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy wins the Oscar Award for her ‘feminist’ documentary on honor killing in Pakistan. Sorry to disappoint the seculars, but I am too ecstatic about Sharmeen’s achievement but I am bitterly shocked and sorrowful for Mumtaz. No, actually not for Mumtaz, but for the future of Pakistan.

Pakistan has let go Musharraf who is responsible for the death of seventy thousand people and still counting in Pakistan, by dragging Pakistan in the so called war-on-terror. Pakistan let go Nawaz Shareef who endangered the country’s national security by strangling the then Chief-of-Army Pervaiz Musharraf in mid-air and telling the aeroplane to land in India or Hell for all that he cared. Pakistan let go Raymond Davis who murdered two plus one Pakistanis in broad daylight to cover the dirty game he was playing in Pakistan. Pakistan always lets go the likes of Shahrukh Jatoi who kill their fellow citizens in cold-blood just to satisfy their bloody ego. The rapists dance around scot-free in Pakistan while the raped women burn themselves out in frustration and humiliation. Shhh … do you know? Even children are raped in Pakistan and their rapists then win the next elections in Kasur …

But now that I have told you this dirty secret, I shall be lamented for projecting a negative image of Pakistan internationally, just like poor Mukhtara Mai was, who was Jirga officially gang raped and then persecuted for speaking about it.

Of all the crimes and horrors committed within the borders of Pakistan, Pakistan found only Mumtaz Qadri worthy of being punished? Pakistan was deaf to the blasphemous comments of Salman Taseer who publically declared the Blasphemy Law a black law? Ah, but they say, ‘Prophet Muhammed Pbuh always forgave his insulters…’ May I invite you to read about when Prophet Muhammed Pbuh ordered to kill Ka’ab bin Ashraf and Abu Rafi, the detailed episodes of whom can be read from Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Hadith 369 and 372. There were times when he forgave and there were times that he punished. The most evident reasoning being the establishment of his prophet hood nationwide. He forgave on personal basis when his prophet hood had not been established yet and he punished as a state when his prophet hood had been established and it was not something to joke about, humor with and play around.

It happens! When the state and institutes stop playing their due role, individuals take up the role. For example, it is the duty of the state to look after the orphans, but Abdul Sattar Edhi has to do it. It is the duty of the state to look after prisoner rights, but Ansar Burney has to do it. It is the duty of the state to protect women from abuse, but Asma Jahangir has to do it. It was the duty of the state to silence Salman Taseer for his blasphemous comments, but the state suddenly went deaf, dumb and blind, as it usually does when the perpetrator of any crime is either a rich man or when the issue under discussion is religion.

They say, Taseer made no blasphemous comments. He was just talking about the misuse of the Blasphemy Law and hence wanted to ban the law. Of course! The Blasphemy Law should not be misused. In fact, its misuser should be given the same punishment as a blasphemer. But, to ban a law because of its misuse? Laugh out loud! Excuse me, but this is not the only law which is misused in Pakistan. Every law of Pakistan is distorted and misused by the rich and the affluent. So what? We will wind up the entire constitution? Nah! But he actually said, ‘I consider this law a black law’. I saw and heard his interview myself.

So why am I sorrowful for Pakistan? I am sorrowful for Pakistan because I just cannot understand why Pakistan is bent upon committing suicide ever since Allah Almighty blessed it with nuclear power in 1998. Just three years afterwards, we started a journey of self-destruction by picking up a fight for no good reason in the North-West of Pakistan and turning the Deoband Pashtoons against us who were, once upon a time, our unofficial frontline defence. And now we have picked up a fight with the peaceful Barelvis who have never raised a finger upon anybody, no matter what issue is going on, except to defend the honor of the Prophet Pbuh. Let alone the Barelvis, the sanctity of the Prophet’s honor is something shared by all Muslims across, no matter which school-of-thought they belong to. So why are we consistently turning our masses against ourselves? I fail to understand.

This episode is also a wake-up call to the Barelvis, to not just resort to hymn singing for the Prophet Pbuh, but also to participate in social movements for the spiritual sons and daughters of Prophet Muhammed Pbuh … for Aafia Siddiquis, Mukhtara Mais and Shahzeb Khans.

Tuesday, March 1, 2016 : It is holiday all across Pakistan, from fear of reaction to the oppression of hanging Mumtaz Qadri. Allah Almighty has own His ways of making things happen. Unconsciously, Pakistan is observing a day of mourning to the departure of Mumtaz Qadri. May Allah Almighty grant him martyrdom and look after his family the way he sought to defend the honor of His Prophet Pbuh, Ameen.

Guarding Education

The year is 2016. A complete fifteen years since the fateful 9/11 episode. Pervaiz Musharraf claims that he was threatened by the American government that if Pakistan does not agree to all the military, intelligence and logistic support that America required to strike war in Afghanistan, Pakistan would be returned to the stone ages. Some reliable sources deny Musharraf receiving any such threats.

It does not matter either ways now. One way or the other, we have returned to the stone ages. We have scarce electricity, scarce gas and scarce water. As if this was not enough, we have conjured up an enemy for ourselves no smaller than a genie. As if India alone was not enough! It cannot be the wrath of America upon us, for we did as America bid. Surely, it must be the wrath of Allah Almighty, from among the three A’s – Allah, Army, America - may Allah Almighty forgive us for this equivalence.

Soon after the creation of Pakistan, as Quaid-e-Azam was appointing army units on the borders of Pakistan, he stopped at the North-Western border of Pakistan, which comprises FATA. It was a tribal belt of natural warriors. Quaid-e-Azam remarked that there was no need to place army units along the North-West border of Pakistan as the brave, loyal and daring tribes would defend the border as good as any army personnel.

And it happened so, until the fateful year 2001. After which, the land of loyals starting popping out suicide bombers. Starting out in 2007, they have targeted just about everything they can reach, including check posts, vehicles, markets, mosques and schools. We, the people of Pakistan, have been protesting ever since 2001 against Pakistan getting dragged into this dirty war, killing the unknown and facing the reaction. As the reaction started simmering, enemies to the existence of Pakistan rejoiced at the chaos and dirty terrorists from all over the world joined the game. We cringed for the drones in FATA and held baited breaths in fear of the time when the rest of Pakistan will come in the line of fire. And this is exactly what happened when the Peshawar Army Public School was attacked on 16th December 2014. At last, the city children too were under attack. Only, this time cameras were allowed to photograph and film the baby corpses for the whole world to see.

So what will happen now? Will we stop sending our children to school?

Each new day we rise with new messages and posts on our mobiles informing whether our children’s school is open or not. On the morning of Thursday, January 28, 2016, about thirteen months after the APS massacre and a week after the attack in Charsadda University, one mother contemplated sending her children to school or not. The entire Pakistan was under severe security alert. Most of the schools had shut down. A handful had not. Her children’s school was one of them. What to do now?

She recalled how the Muslims had stopped sending their children to school about two hundred years ago, when the British had taken over the subcontinent, changed the academic language from Persian to English and designed a new syllabus for the Muslim children. As a protest, offended Muslims pulled out their children from schools.

She says. Why did not the Muslims get offended when their ‘Muslim’ leaders were wining, dining and wooing prostitutes? Why do we get offended by acts of non-Muslims only, for wrong is wrong in the Eyes of Allah Almighty, no matter who does it? Why do we react late? Why do we protest late? Why do we act late? Why do we act lame? What a shame!

We Muslims do not want to fall back another few hundred years again. We shall not stop sending our children to school. We shall struggle for education and progress on the measure of Jihad. There! Sorry to disappoint all those who have been attacking our children in the hope that we will sit back and set back and go to sleep for a few more hundred years.

A mother sitting outside her children’s school amidst high security threats, guarding the children in her own way. She could not make them miss school, and she could not sit at home, wondering whether the children will come home dead or alive.
